The Government of Canada has released today three documents related to the federal carbon pricing backstop:
Legislative proposals relating to the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act;
Draft Fuel Charge Regulations;
Explanatory notes related to each of the above.
The above documents are available here. The government also released the regulatory framework for its output-based carbon pricing system, which is available here.
